Haunting Ground

I picked Haunting Ground for my next game. I heard about it because it was made by the people who made ClockTower and for those of you who don't know ClockTower you should check it out if you wanna be scared. It did have some similarities. Like you can't really fight back.

The premise is pretty cloudy just the overall idea that you really want to get out of the mansion. You play a girl who last remembers being in a car accident. For most of the game you are just wandering around this mansion slowly uncovering its secret while trying to keep your distance from a big crazy oaf who will hug you to death, literally. At some point you befriend a dog who will help you but I never got that far. Honestly I’m not too good with playing scary games. I usually love watching someone else play them for me.

There are points in the game where you really don’t know what you are supposed to do. Unlike Resident Evil games where terror comes out around every corner it is very possible to play this game for an hour and not get chased or hunted. This makes it even more suspenseful and I’m sure pretty boring for other people. Keep in mind though, this game is not a shoot-em-up game. You have no way to fight back all you can do is hide and hope no one finds you or run for your life but know that the big guy will follow you as long as it takes to catch his pretty little doll.

It’s pretty fun but now I’m gonna wait for someone else to play it for me.

Zelda: Twilight Princess

I'm still not done with this one. I started it during the Christmas break. It seems pretty easy. It is a lot like the original Zelda with the different towns and such. In fact it's too much like the first one for my taste. I do enjoy the fact that it has the Wii capabilities. I like the quality of the graphics but the story, like all Zelda games, is pretty low on the plot aspect. I believe there are very few games that fill my 'plot' quota. Therefore RPGs are by far my favorite genre. Final Fantasy is probably the only one next to Xenosaga. Granted games based on story line are not as much fun to replay. I do like playing games that have an end though. I'm not a huge fan of sports games because you don't really 'beat' it.
